This is a Kitchenaid 1/2hp garbage disposal model #84211643. These are a great replacement for most insinkerator models. They use the same quicklock sink mounting, and often you can reuse the existing bracket for fast replacement. This model is an excellent replacement for 1/3 hp models. This one is 1/2hp and is stronger than the 1/3 hp builders models installed in alot of newer homes. We often see (and have personal experience) that builders models sometimes fail around 5-6 years old. A 1/2 hp model is a better replacement for most homes. This model is often quieter than most 1/3hp and 1/2hp models sold. We only sell this Kitchenaid model due to the fact it is quiet, powerful, and lasts for several years. Instructions, unjamming tool, and hardware are included in each box. If you are handy, this can be replaced in 30-minutes to 1-hour. Make sure to test for leaks after completed. You can reuse the power cord off the defective disposal for powering the new one. There is a plastic knockout plug that must be removed if you are connecting a dishwasher drain to the disposal. Always disconnect power before servicing any appliance. No refunds/returns on electrical items. Please make sure you know what you need when ordering.
